MBM Spiral Heads in Ergal 7075
The MBM Spiral planing heads are produced in duralumin Ergal 7075; in order to guarantee optimal use, 2 bushings in case hardened and ground steel were mounted. This solution facilitates and guarantees a perfect fit on the shaft-holder-cups.
Hard metal plates are fi tted, squared, with the following dimensions 15x15x2,5 reduced tolerance rounded R95 with a clearance angle of 37° are fi tted All this makes it possible to obtain fi nish planing with a tool that is normally considered to be a roughing tool, obtaining high removal rates thanks to optimal discharge.
The six spirals allow the MBM Spiral head to be used at working feed rate of up to 10,000 rpm and a working feed up to 80 metres/min, depending on the size of the chip to be removed.
