MBM Spiral steel heads
The same construction philosophy is also true for the MBM Spiral steel head, which always mounts hard metal knives, squared with the following dimensions 15x15x2.5mm reduced tolerance, rounded R95, with a clearence angle of 37°.
As these are steel bodies helicoils are not used. These heads are particularly efficient on planning machines that work laminated beams with the advantage of a good surface area compared to heads with traditional inserts.
All technical data relating to the spiral head and the HM inserts mounted on the tool are indicated on the faces of the steel bushings. A real identity card that facilitates the job of those in charge of maintenance.
On request, MBM can supply heads with Øi 40.
On request MBM can supply heads with different cut width.
The heads can be supplied with right (A) or left (B) helix.
The supply includes the head complete with:
1 torque wrench 5.7 N•m, 2 bits TORX T20, 1 technical data sheet
At the time of placing the order, please specify whether the head must have right or left helix. Normally the 4 heads are supplied (2 horizontal + 2 vertical) in the version with left helix, because this facilitates swarf evacuation, while maintaining the characteristics of the heads unchanged.
